What is The Survivor Platform?
This Platform is designed to be a safe and accessible space to strengthen the voices of survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation with a special focus on young survivors, and the children and minor siblings of survivors. It seeks to empower all those who have experienced trafficking and exploitation by providing survivor centric support – assisting everyone no matter where in the journey out of exploitation they are at. The Platform is a forum through which societies in the Baltic Sea Region, wider Europe and internationally can be more aware of the brutality behind trafficking and exploitation. Through raising the voices of those who have experienced exploitation there is an opportunity to work towards policies, procedures and legislation which can in practice increase agency and benefit survivors. This platform seeks to support the right to be heard and the right to access justice – including effective reparations and remedies – for everyone who is on a pathway out of childhood exploitation.
